Biography:
D.O.B. 18th October 1972 (London).
I started playing piano at 7 and then took clarinet and viola (I eventually gave up viola due to lack of talent!). I sang in my school's church choir and music society but became disillusioned because I wanted to play Jazz and nobody else wanted to - that was unfortunate, really.
After leaving school I messed around, as school-leavers do, for a few years, then decided 'to become a musician' at the age of 28 and enrolled in the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford (the ACM). I completed their Diploma in Music Production and when I left did some teaching after selling all my gear (apart from the digital piano) and wrote some poetry/lyrics. These are now on 'Blogger'.
I then took a BA with The Open University and also obtained an interim Diploma in Music in 2005. Having played in local bars and for the British Legion amongst other things, in and around Seaford, I also sang with a local choir (Seaford Choral Society). I was involved as pianist with an amateur singing group, which performed in April 2008.
I enrolled on an MA in Music in 2008-09 and played piano at a few events whilst doing this (mainly private functions). Some of my composing for film work was shown in Brighton whilst I was a student as well. I completed this course in September 2009. Since then I have been looking for music-related work and started playing clarinet in the Sussex University wind band, which performed on 9.12.09. After that were the usual Christmas parties in Seaford and my piano playing came in handy again!
Since then (2010) I have continued with my music and released an album of electronica and done some accompanying. I also still play for Sussex University concert band and have done a few concerts with them so far this year...
